I'm becoming increasingly excited about the summer period now, with the satisfaction of completing all uni work (hopefully to a high enough standard-although nothing is ever quite good enough these days), the anticipation of a new work experience and an adventurous holiday to the party capital with my girls to 'put the cherry on top' as some would say. These 3 events are cause enough for celebration, which is how I will be starting my very busy, but very productive summer holidays.
Although the parties and social events that will follow in celebration of my first year of university excite me, its more the 'what will I be wearing?' which really gets me going. I would only be lying if I said I wasn't excited to browse the high street for my summer look, although the styles have already been developing in my head for the past month or so.
I'm truly in love with the minimalistic trend which I have already blogged about and after seeing Erdems s/s 11 ready to wear collection, the idea of delicate florals, lace and chiffon's ensure I will also be searching the shops for anything similar. As a girly girl myself, the idea alone is enough to get my pulse racing.
As for Ibiza style for 2011, after experiencing the night life last year I have decided I will be opting for casual, cool & comfortable. Vintage Levi denims (short, short of course), slouchy vests and high top converse are must haves for my Ibiza wardrobe. Skinny waist belts, statement necklaces and quirky over the shoulder bags will accompany my look, that is of course, that my purse hasn't been confiscated by my parents (unpaid work experience for 2 months of the summer and the fee's of getting into London on a daily basis doesn't exactly leave me much to splash out on a new wardrobe for my holiday). Big big sigh.
