Teatum Jones

REFINED - EFFORTLESS - CHIC

Catherine Teatum and Rob Jones are the designers behind the womenswear label Teatum Jones & exhibited for the first time this year at London Fashion Week. Their AW11 collection sees the pairs inspiration being drawn from the stories of Elsie Knocker and Mairi Chisolm, two well known heroines of the 1st WW. The pair have channelled these memories through delicate silks, mid-night navy crepes and a fragile, pretty bloom print which echos the experience of the trenches.

love the fact the duo haven't followed the traditional jet black, dark greys colour palette which are usually aired throughout AW catwalks. Instead the pair have focused on indigo blues and stone greys with the injection of a dusty pink and pretty floral pattern as the basic colours of their collection. Really appreciating the fluid draping and masculine touches which bring the collection together in a beautiful, elegant way.

I'm going to have to keep my eye on these two!
